I'm caring for a 79-year-old lady with dementia. Now they tell me her money is gone and they don't know how they will pay me. Suggestions?

I'm being paid $2000 month. I do live in her home I do every thing. Pay for groceries, all cleaning supplies, laundry, yard work. Have paid for everything to get fixed they tell me there's no money left. What should I do? She does get enough money to pay for all the home bills and more

Her family is telling you there is no more money pay you, and you think there is enough money to pay you?

Do you see this lady’s bank statement every month? Are you familiar with investments she might have that are being depleted? Have you added EVERY single penny up to see what her total living expenses are? But, none of that really matters. If the woman isn’t competent it’s the family that makes financial decisions, not the caregiver.

Just went through this same situation with my mom. It was costing just over $100,000 a year for her to be at home. Her money ran out. People were screaming mad even though they were warned that it was coming.

Sorry, but it looks like you are going to have to move out. You must have realized that this would not last forever. Hopefully, they will allow you to stay until you can get a place to stay. Doing the minimum for the lady.
