Any experience with Hetlioz (Tasimelteon) for blind elderly with dementia?

My Mom (93, in NH) has been blind since last year’s shingles on her face. (Get your shingles shots!) She occasionally experiences episodes of agitation/insomnia when she’ll be up sometimes all night...sometimes up to 48 hours, then crash and sleep for a day or so. She’s always so tired it’s hard to get her regulated. I’m sure her dementia got worse when she lost her vision, and this is probably dementia related. But I saw last night an ad on TV for a medication which tries to regulate the internal clock for blind people. Side effects are possible liver issues, which I understand but they also mentioned potential for upper respiratory infection or UTI. It must have an affect on the immune system and good grief we don’t need any help getting those. Just wondered if anyone on the forum has a LO on it?
