Where can a dementia patient with behaviors go in the state of Michigan?

Where can a dementia patient with behaviors go in the state of Michigan? My mother has been refused by just about every assisting living facility and nursing home in the Upper Peninsula after she had been blackballed by her former assisted living facility.

Is her behavior under control? And did anything in particular happen at her former assisted living facility? Something really bad? I think it would help to know why she’s been blackballed. How did you find that out?

Sorry, but what do you mean by “blackballed”. I mean, I understand the terminology but not why you feel that she was. Was she combative? Was her bill not paid? Was she extremely difficult to care for? Does she have mental concerns that are beyond the care provided in an AL and thereby should be in Memory Care? If you are looking for Assisted Living, perhaps you should be considering Memory Care.
