With my mother, we gave daily doses of Miralax that we measured to the gram. Adjusting the Miralax dose helped to make the bowel movements a consistency that would be easier to handle. With Mom, it was 8g/day.
Around here the nursing staff would use two pads. One went across the bed and the other was used length wise and came up between the legs. Only one BM got out and it was a brown water mess all over the place. Everything had to be replaced and she had to be bathed. If it happened at home, and it did, I would clean Luz up real good and then immediately wash what ever she had been lying on. I would sometimes do a small load of laundry up to three times a day. And sometimes I would be up in the middle of the night cleaning her and the carpet as well.
Have you tried using diaper pins to hold the pads together or to take up any slack that might be causing the leaks?
