Not sure of your financial situation...medical transport service knows how to be gentle with people and are reliable. Call to schedule in advance and get cost estimate. Your county might have a service but not sure if only for those on assistance. Can you ask a neighbor? Most people want to help others but don't know how. I think someone will be happy to do it (as long as you feel comfortable and safe with them). Also, contact your church or A church, any church and just ask for help.

Call your local bus company. Most places have medical and handicap services as part of their public transportation systems

Office of Aging may have bussing. If you are on Medicaid, they do have driving services but I am sure you pay a small fee. My nephew is signed up with a company called Access. And there is another one thru medicaid.

There are many driving services for medical appointments. I would call a few different places and see who would accept your insurance.

Many of them (at least in NY state) do accept Medicaid and you do not have to pay anything if you are on Medicaid.

Also in NY state, the CDTA Star Bus is excellent for transportation. It is only $2 one way.
