Just took Mom to early dinner. Drive up to our house and she started yelling we did not live there.
Got her into house and she thinks "other people" live here, that the bills are not in her name, and she is "uncomfortable" being here.
This has happened before but it is worse this time. Has anyone else dealt with this and how did you manage?

If Mom is clear of an UTI, her dementia could be at a stage where "home" is where she had grown up. My Mom wanted to go "home" and it wasn't until she started talking about visiting her parents and her siblings that I understood what she really meant... all of her family had passed years ago. This is when I needed to do what are called "theraputic fibs" so that Mom would feel comfortable.
