She says she was checked and the bladder is clear. I think, with her pessary, that she is mistaking vaginal bleeding for urinary tract bleeding. Very difficult to tell the difference. But bleeding in the bladder doesn't have an odor. I am suspecting this is infection from the pessary as she says very bad odor. Generally a yeast just smells, well--yeasty. Almost a baked bread dough smell.
Maimie, I am hoping you will update us after your ob/gyn appointment. Will worry about you. Infections can go systemic, and you don't want that. See your doctor soon, please.
Whenever I have had a vaginal yeast infection, the smell has also been awful and so was the burning and itching. I always went to a gynecologist and not my regular doctor.
I think not from bladder. Are you certain this is not the pessary and hence vaginal bleeding? Sounds like infection and must be checked by good OB gyne. So not count on urine tests which, if this is vaginal, will test as blood in the urine when it is almost certainly from vagina, esp. if it is malodourous. Sorry, hon, back to the doc.
