I would advise against these chairs unless you’re quite sure the elder is competent enough to use it. My mom was able to use it effectively for a couple of months then she’d forget to use her buttons and struggle to get up, often falling in the process. If your mom is having any memory problems it may be a waste of time and money.
And they are not cheep. Pretty basic ones are around $800. I had one for both mom and dad. They got very little use.
