The house I was renting we started renting to own when mom moved in w me. It's in both our names. What happens if she goes to a facility?

I don't know what secures the payment on the house made to the mortgage lender ....I have never kept any money for myself ...I dont mind taking care of mom til she got so mean to me. So I Don't know what to do over the house .... I am trying to get mom help n she is battling me n I know her thinking is fine .....I didn't know. If a trust makes it okay w payment or will the state take all of her money cus she does have a loan from me that's written.

I think that it would be impossible to know, as we cannot see the contract on your "rent to own" house. The wording will be important, I would think. I would save this question on a list of important questions you have involving Mom and your care situation, and would see an elder law attorney. It would be irresponsible for us to guess, and then possibly be wrong, and have led you "up the garden path". I hope there is someone on the forum familiar with real estate law who might give you a better answer.
