Her stroke 6 months ago affected her right side; she is stand by assist and a bit unsteady and impulsive ( sometimes tries to get up and walk without asking for help) and the biggest fear I have is her falling. No more do any facilities restrain patients in bed, so am considering a hi/lo bed for her. She can fall at home, too, but I watch her like a hawk (exhausting!) and her bed at least has side rails for nighttime, which she sleeps through. Shes a level 3, needs a Type B facility. Can anyone recommend a company they've had experience with? I've toured Brookdales and local ones. Anyone use Sagora, Sorrento, etc?
I just can't care for her in my home anymore. We both need more social and alone time and in home care is too expensive for the time I need. She will enjoy her independance, too, and we can spend time with her and bring her home once weekly. We need to regain quality time together, not the quantity time with few hours away from each other. Thanx for listening.

Best of luck to you!
On another note, I am glad you recognize the limitations of all this and are moving forward with loving care. My best to both of you.
