not all area on agings/offices on aging have buses. The one here doesn’t, they don’t provide transportation at all. In your state, Medicaid does provide transportation to doctors appointments. Your local area on aging will have information on all the transportation options available to you.
Check out Senior Centers. In Palm Springs I found the Mizell Center and through them learned about the SunBus which will pick you up, tiny little fee. You can arrange for W/C or what is needed and can arrange to have someone ride with you if needed. So there are things that are out there I was completely unaware of. If there are any Senior Centers in your area they will likely have the skivvy
If the person gets help fro Medicaid for heath insurance, there is a ride service. Office of Aging has a bus for this purpose. If u have a Red cross near u they have volunteers. A Church may have people who volunteer.
