In south FL my elderly aunts pay $22 p/hr for a Visiting Angels companion that does exactly what you listed. As soon as any type of "medical" need or special training is required, the rate goes up as you are sent people meeting the qualifications. E.g. if you are a fall risk, or need to be given medications or such, the hourly rate goes up. FYI the more hours you request the better the caregivers (the good ones want the most hours consistently). I'm not sure if you're looking for 8-hrs a day, 7-days a week? or just a total of 8 hours a week? Some are not allowed to drive clients to appointments in the care giver's car, or perhaps can in the clients car, or not at all.
