He has terminal cancer and was given 6 months to 2 years to live, and that was back in March/2019. I have dropped my work load at work by 50% to be here for him(were I need to be) and I know in the short future I will be 100% caregiver. I cannot survive economically at this point in time.

Looking quickly online it looks like Washington state may have such a program. You would want to do further research to see if he meets the guidelines but here is one site I found with some information:

Rules are different based on the relationship. If married, I don't think you can be paid. Otherwise, possibly, but you need a caregiver agreement and partner has to have the money to pay you, and be competent to agree to it and sign the agreement that would be prepared by an elder law attorney.
