What do you know about "County Assistance"?

I worked for an agency that gave out food. The holidays we gave out food baskets. A number of the people signing up got Welfare. An income form had to be filled out. They all had cell phones and cable TV. Of course a lot of people on assistance are in apts and where I live, u need cable to have TV. Having individual antennas and dishes outside the apt are not allowed. Those inside antennas don't work well.

Providers like Tracfone have government phones that give you minutes monthly. Cable, can get basic. There is help for electric and heat.

Yes, need more info on what is needed. County assist can be a number of things.

Any charged cell phone active or not can be used to call 911.
Cable TV, is not necessary. (tell that to my Grand kids though!)
Contact your local Senior Center or Area on Aging and they can help with other programs for help with Gas, Electric and also the Medicaid process. And or go to your local Social Security office.

Please be more specific. What do you mean "when the money runs out". Do you mean paying for caregivers out of life savings? Please describe the situation you are in and we can tell you what to do. I'm assuming you get a SS or SSDI check?

Cable tv, cell phones are considered luxuries. A wired house phone is probably considered a necessity.
