Mother late stage Alzheimer’s Dementia along with Parkinsons, CHF, fluid around the heart, atrophy of legs, etc. When should I call hospice?

Good idea to get an eval ASAP. I can't imagine that she wouldn't qualify.

Sorry that your mom is in such bad shape.

When you feel its time or her doctor suggests it, sounds like that time has come. Even if she doesn’t meet the guidelines after evaluation there is no harm, no foul so nothing to loose by calling to get the ball rolling now at minimum they will help guide you as to when you should call again.

You probably should have called Hospice a year ago.
But that was then this is now.
Call today and set up a time for them to come evaluate her for Hospice.
Typically they will come and do an evaluation within 24 hours.
So by Monday or Tuesday you will be called and an appointment will be set up with a Nurse, the CNA that will come in and help out a few times a week. An appointment will be scheduled for the Social Worker as well and you will begin to take advantage of all that Hospice can offer.
