Who pays Hospice costs when recipient resides in a Skilled Nursing home under Medicaid program?

Since your wife is already on Medicaid then Medicaid Would pay.

No. That’s not how it works.
if she’s on Medicare then Medicare is her primary and Medicare pays for hospice and Medicaid is her SECONDARY insurance. Medicaid doesn’t pay if she’s on Medicare.

If she has Medicare then Medicare pays. If she’s too young for Medicare (under 65) then Medicaid pays.

I believe Medicare will pay as that's the case with my Mom in Assisted Living.
