Is SSA best place to get info? Will they talk to me as her POA? Should I get a free advocate at the aging facility?

I dont want to complain b/c I'm well aware that others have it worse. I just want to get as much information as possible about everything payment and her SSA check and whether it's appropriate to continue with aid /attendance benefits because the drs signed off on being homebound, needing assistance and should I get an advocate to help me navigate the process?
