I am working on a case conference with consumer and their family. What should I take?

Need more info. Are you a professional like a Social Worker? I think the problem we are having are the words "case conference". What is this conference about and why are you asking to be there. Do you have some kind of expertise, like an interpreter because there is a language barrier or you sign for the deaf? What is the conference about?
