Where would I donate hearing aids?

My mother passed away months ago; my siblings and I are preparing her house for sale. I found a bag full of old pairs of glasses; I know most optometrists will take those, but who will take old used hearing aids? They cost a fortune, so there must be a way to sterilize and let others use them. Any ideas?
