You need a Drs. order. Seems Medicare doesn't pay fully for Palliative care. But they do for Hospice care just not the facility.

Medicare does not use the term palliative, so coverage is provided by standard Medicare Part B benefits."
If the person is in a facility or has a primary care physician, the care should be arranged for by them. They must obtain insurance approval.. Facilities usually have agencies they work with. More details would help.
