Mirtazapine was like a miracle drug for my mom, not only did she sleep better at night she seemed more herself during the day (but of course that may have been because she was better rested). Of course this may not be toe correct medication for your father, but do ask the doctor to help you find something, caregiving is doubly hard with interrupted sleep.
