My brothers and I are taking care of my grandparents but are living in a 3 level house with grandparents in the middle. We need a way if something happens that they can reach us in our rooms especially in the middle of the night. Grandma slid out of bed last night and was sitting on the ground with grandpa trying to finds us to help but couldn't remember which rooms we sleep in or which floors.
Grandpa has short term memory loss and can't really remember how to use his very old school flip phone and grandma had loss of dexterity, can't push side button on a walkie talkie and uses a walker but needs help getting up and down. We were thinking bluetooth intercoms as they have used those in the past but worried grandpa might not remember how to use it. Or something like an echo but not sure how much grandma would understand how to use it in an emergency to call out for us. Any ideas what to get that could work? Both were tech savvy until about 5 years ago.

They may both need Medical Alert Necklaces with Fall Detection. If no one heard grandma slide out of bed, and neither called out, that would be terrible and maybe land her in the hospital with broken bones.
Sounds like grandma needs bed rails and other assistance for getting around, up and down from bed, chairs. On this website under Senior Care Products, see these bed rails: https:https://www.agingcare.com/products/ez-adjustable-bed-rail-136320.htm
There are likely more on the net, maybe in a store near you.
There are other products in there that may help you help them.
Of course I had just gotten rid of my video baby monitor only a couple of months ago. I'll have to check to see what the stores by us have as we are in the middle of nowhere.
