Mom is 89 and suffers from COPD, Alzheimers, dementia, and Parkinson. She is having periods where she will sweat profusely leaving clothing wet and her skin clammy. At the same time, there is no increase in body temperature or fever, and it is not a case where she had a heavy blanket on or was over covered.
Her nurse that I have coming in to bathe and tend to mom mentioned that this is a sign of cardiac issues especially since her sleep has gotten deeper to where she is breathing but won't wake up even by rocking the bed, or calling her name.
What have others experienced and is this the case? Not sure what else it can be.
Thanks!!
