My mom was being monitored on it for neuropathy & anxiety. She took 30 mg for 6 weeks, but it didn't significantly help her neuropathy so doctor increased to 60 mg. She started sleeping in afternoons but not at bedtime. So, she tells AL that she's not taking it anymore. They didn't tell us or director of nursing didn't know?? Finding out more tomorrow. Today, mom calls with this news & immediately turned back into her mean self, cursing, blasting me, saying she's going to stop all meds, etc.
Is there a dosage in between 30 mg & 60 mg? With Coronavirus, is it possible dr could make change because she cannot leave ALF? HELP

I’d suggest that when your mother calls and gets nasty, tell her you can wait until she’s in a better mood to talk to her and hang up. You don’t need to expose yourself to verbal abuse. If you have questions about her behavior, treatment, etc. schedule a care conference meeting with her caregivers. This is the best way to keep track of her behavior.
