I sold my home, gave up my life that I loved and moved in with my 86 year old husband a year ago. We only lived together for three years some thirty years ago but I could see no other way to care for him. His children will have nothing to do with him. He has passed the Alzheimer's test in the docs office, but lately his memory is going, he is combatative, accusing me of all kinds of things after all I have tried to do is help him. It is getting awful and I ask him if he would like to go somewhere where he will be safer and not falling down. Food is an obsession with him (I spent three years cleaning up his horrid hoarding mess) and he will not leave the kitchen alone to let me cook good meals for him, but then he claims he is starving. I have gone deeply in debt stocking the house with food and trying to keep us safe from the virus. Today he has gone to town to do I don't know what. I am losing it and can't take more of this but don't know what to do. Please help.

I am sorry to hear you have put yourself in jeopardy for his sake. Not clear why you did that, especially after 30 years apart from him. (There must be a reason you lived apart to begin with....I suspect that reason is even more valid now). But, it’s done now, all you should do is get yourself separated from him and place him with professionals and try to put your own life back on a track that is livable.
