What activities do you do with vision/hearing impaired seniors?

Is it possible to set up some of her things (like chairs, end table, lamp, etc) in an arrangement like she had at her place? Ask her what she liked the most/ worst about her place or what “independent “ tasks she misses and try to incorporate those things into her routine. Try getting out photo albums and present it to her as something like “grandma, I don’t recognize who this is, do you?” and lead into a walk down memory lane type thing. (even if you do know the people in the photos; get a magnifying glass on standby). She may still be stubborn but don’t give up keep on trying to engage her on a personal level, maybe one on one with you so she doesn’t feel overwhelmed. Hope this helps.

Poor lady. Its hard at 95 to deal with hearing loss and vision problems. Her old place was familiar. She knew where everything was. Its hard for the elderly to adjust. When Mom was at rehab, they had a blind women folding towels. My DH is almost deaf. Don't know what I would if he had vision problems because he loves to read.
