Medicare TeleMed coverage; is an email exchange covered?

Does Medicare cover email exchange with your primary physician as a TeleMed benefit?

I like to think out my explanations of my medical conditions and write them out. I do not think a video conference is helpful. I might forget something. Further with an email I have record of the Doctor’s instructions and comments.

My doctor has an online portal. There is no charge for asking questions in the portal.

Usually the doctor has to see the person. Some have nurse practitioners that will visit the home. This is a question you need to ask the doctor.

For the video have your list ready. Record your "visit". You can always follow up with an email. Have someone present who can take notes for you.

I think because of Covid19 Medicare has changed this benefit.
