Nursing home two way camera with audio and home monitor?

Thank you! My son had a plan all set up but there was an issue with having to accept their sign in requirements every time I would access the site. Darn!

If you are talking about cameras in the room just check with the facility.
Some allow cameras.
Most states do not allow recording unless agreed to by both parties. (and this would include staff if the cameras and audio are on.) If you are talking about a video talk many places are doing that so families can visit. Either a phone or tablet that the staff could bring to the room.

You would probably need clearance from the facility to have such a device in place, since workers would also presumably be recorded and watched. Amazon and Home Depot , and probably Best Buy have such recording devices, from fairly low-cost all the way up to very sophisticated systems (wireless and wired). Give your local Best Buy store a call to ask about options for what you seek.

A regular laptop or phone can accomplish what you are seeking, but not on a 24/7 (continuous) basis. Are you familiar with facetime , skype, whatsApp? Your husband has Alzheimer's, so he probably would need assistance with his device in order to see and hear you. Depending on what stage of the Alzheimer's he's in, he may not be able to understand how to make calls to you, or to receive calls from you.

Again, before you put out money for a system, make sure it's okay with his facility for you to have this set-up installed. There may be privacy issues involved (workers and other visitors being recorded and watched might not be okay with the facility).
