If Seniors, start with Office of Aging. If younger, they need to go to Social Services in the County they live in. They maybe provided with emergency help. Meaning, rent payment, food vouchers even emergency housing. They may be able to get Welfare, foodstamps, and Medicaid. They need to do this for themselves since they will need to provide certain info and paperwork. If not able to do this for themselves, then u can call Adult Protection Services, at times the Health Department.
