He had his gallbladder removed in 2014 and got a bacterial infection that spread to his brain. He is aware of everything but only responds in most negative way. He is refusing to get anymore testing or care. I have researched the renal diet and will be putting him that. I am also working with a homeopath and have stem cell patches but he refuses most of the time. Is there anything else anyone knows of that might help? It has been a long and painful road.

You are now looking at quantity of life versus quality of life issues. I would myself not take renal dialysis. Others would wish to have it to prolong life. If he doesn't wish to have dialysis at some point you are looking at palliative care and hospice. You can live for quite some time without dialysis. Not predictable.
Sorry you are facing this. For myself I would now choose to eat as I wished and get good hospice care so that drugs could keep me comfortable at the end of my life.
