Has anyone actually dealt with the Medicaid look back? Can anyone answer this question for me?
Was wondering if anyone could answer this question for me. Is the 5 year Medicaid look back done from the date of the application or is it done from the month that the application is made?
If you or your LO is going to need LTC Medicaid now (for September), the lookback will go to Sep. 2015. the caseworker will likely ask for the bank statement for the end of Sep 2015. Usually they won't ask for every month after that, but will likely ask for every month the last 2 years. For years 3-5 they may ask for periodic statements, but not every month. But they will ask for that first month. If you are going to need LTC Medicaid in Oct, but not now, you'll want to apply for October. then they will start with Oct 2015.
