My husband didn't have any food for 41 days, and no drinks for about 25 days before he just passed away 2 weeks ago today. He continued to have urine right up to the end, though not much and it was very dark, almost looked like blood. My husband was on a fentanyl pain pump, along with other pain and agitation medications that I had to put in his picc line, so he technically was getting some fluids the whole time. Hospice did say that because of his pain pump, it would delay his death.
