How long before Medicaid takes Social Security after you’ve been in a care facility?

Worried is correct. SS and pension go to the Nursing home as soon as Medicaid starts.

Medicaid doesn’t take social security. In this situation, where someone is in a care facility, their Social security is paid to the nursing home. And it should begin immediately unless they are in the facility for rehab with Medicare paying.
