I don't intend to change her diet. She has been this way as long as I have known her. I was really looking for suggestion on easily cleaning the toilet seat. I think I will invest in one that comes off easily. I didn't know they made them that come off without having to unscrew everything. Thanks Tothill, I will look into that.
My toilet seat easily clips on and off, it is very easy to remove to clean around the hinges. I bought it at a big box store a couple years ago. It was not expensive.
I agree with the suggestions of taking her to the bathroom on a regular schedule and making sure she’s getting enough fiber to regulate her bowels. You’re asking about a toilet seat? standard toilet seats are pretty easy to clean.
Maybe she would benefit to have a commode next to her bed or in an easily accessible location (with something on the floor to catch splashes).
Good gloves, good masks, good spray cleaner. I could also suggest to try a good fiber such as Citrucel. Don't make the mistake of using Metamucil which ferments in the bowel in an entirely different way, creating more gas, and explosive stool. Use just under the amount of water suggest. There will be a bit more solidity to the stool. These fibers are used for diarrhea as well as constipation and they created a formed easily passed stool. Worth a try at least.

If she can not determine when she needs to head to the bathroom putting her on a schedule would benefit her and you.
If getting there quickly enough is a problem I would get a wheelchair to whisk her in if she needs to go between scheduled visits.
Helping her will give you an idea of what her system is doing and then you can create a schedule that would fit her needs better.
