Call around to NHs. Some will take the beds to replace ones that have worn out. Try Redcross. Facebook has yardsale sites.

Did u pay for this or Medicare? If Medicare you need to find out if it was rented. If rented it goes back to the provider. If rent to pay, it may now be fully paid so then yours.

In NYC there are, in every neighborhood a "Buy Nothing" group. Start with your closest neighborhood.

Housing Works is a great charity that will pick up furniture.

Have you tried Salvation Army?   Purple Heart?  I'm not sure about other charities such as DAV.   You could also call local Senior Centers; they might have advertising boards and someone might be interested.
