I will assume your wife has a Dementia. This is normal. Upsetting but normal behaviour. Hopefully she sees a neurologist. You may want to see if there is a medication that will help.
She may not see you as her husband. It could be an actor on TV. Her brain is literally dying. TV and dreams become part of her reality. You might want to show her a picture of you when you were young and ask if that's her husband. She may say yes because that is how she remembers you, Not the man ur today. The other house, did you live someplace prior to where you are now. If so, thats maybe what she is talking about. Maybe the house she grew up in. Her mind is scrambled. She is unable to get her thoughts in order. I believe they revert back to childhood. That means they forget their life as an adult.
I had round knobs on my doors so was able to get the baby protective covers. For someone with Dementia, the covers just go around and around so the door can't be opened. You can open it, she can't.
