Mom is covid positive by asymptomatic for 10 Days. What safety procedures are needed to keep my family safe while caring for her?

We've been told my 92 year old mom (Covid positive, Asymptomatic) is ready to be released from the hospital and we'd planned to place her in hospice at her apartment. I'm concerned about what safety procedures are needed to keep family safe while caring for her. Family will rotate in and out but not live there. She is frail and incontinent. We've looked for SNF, but have been unable to find one with an open bed.

You may want to consider having her tested again. The tests are not 100% accurate and could give a false positive.

Thank you for your quick response. Since she has Covid and is asymptomatic, I wanted to ensure that the normal precautions would be enough to protect anyone around her.

When my dad was home with hospice care last summer the hospice workers came regularly with normal Covid precautions, using gloves and masks and practicing good hand washing. Our family and others that helped did the same. We kept the home clean, lots of Lysol wipes, and used the recommended masks and gloves.
