She moved into AL on 9/1/20 and because our numbers were good they were allowing weekly outdoor visits and they were not confined to their rooms as they are now. Thank you for your response.
I'm uncertain what "going on 2+" means. I guess two months going on plus? But I guess we can assume more than 2 months, and less than three. Most of us are looking at 3/4 of a year. Just saying, many of our members on Forum who have elders or LO in LTC have been dealing with this for quite some time now. I understand there is across the country quite a variety of rules.
I am curious why so short a time? The lockdown for most AL was in place for a long long time, and yes, all who have anyone in such a facillity are dealing with it. I was dealing with it last May when my bro died on hospice care in his AL. It is heartbreaking and unspeakably sad for our elders. They, like our children, are having severe psychological side effects. Hopefully your facility will be getting injections of Covid-19 vaccine soon; in my deceased bro's facility everyone has had both first and second shots now. Hopefully restrictions will loosen when we are all protected by vaccine. Everyone keep your proof of having had same; it will be important. So sorry you are going through this, but it is a matter of joining the club here. It's a pandemic.

From August 2020 until October 2020.
SEVEN outdoor visits.
Then October 2020 until second Covid infection. Presently symptom free but will be kept on “isolation” for two more months, then vaccinated.
In the long scheme of things, 2 months is probably not as bad as a year. Or maybe it’s worse.
