Personally, I wouldn't have any interest in an Advantage plan; I've read of too many inappropriate decisions when a stand has been taken against a particular action, such as surgery.
I have Medicare plus BCBSM Medigap, and have always been pleased with it.
I think original Medicare with a supplement is better for my mother. She has both original Medicare and supplement BCBS. Medical bills are paid in full, able to get brand and generic medication when needed, covered when traveling, no waiting to meet deductibles as with other insurance, able to pick any doctor or specialty without prior authorization. It would be beneficial to give both a call and go over the plans and then make a decision on which one fits your needs best. Good luck.
It all depends on what your needs are. My sister-in-law has a Medicare Advantage plan that is perfect for her and provides all sorts of extra services. For me, it wouldn't work at all because I travel a lot and need to have medical care accessible wherever I am so I'm better off with the standard Medicare plus a supplement.
