I had my elderly parents move in with my family just before covid started last year. They are both bored and feel like they don't have purpose in their life. I am NEW at caring for them, and I don't know where to turn for support and ideas. I can't take them anywhere, because my mother now gets very sick in the car, so all they can really do is sit and watch TV everyday, and that's not exactly a reason to want to 'live', especially when they have medical problems. I don't know what to do for them and could really use some support and ideas. I also have a day job aside from making sure that they have what they need, so I can't really be there to 'entertain them' etc. I feel very bad. Any groups on whatsapp I can join? And any ideas here on how to keep elderly parents productive and happy?

I've been part of a local caregiver support group for 3 years now, and I have to tell you that it honestly saved my life. When I started 3 years ago, I was at my wits end and didn't know if I was coming or going. It was a Godsend for sure. I wish you success in finding one. All caregivers should be a part of one.
