The MIND diet, which is a variation on the mediteraniean diet -leafy greens, fatty fish, berries, walnuts, etc. Things to avoid are basically junk food, alcohol, fried stuff is the worst and of course sugar. There have been many longitudinal studies that have found this kind of diet can drastically reduce the likelihood of cognitive decline (as well as exercise and social interaction) Another good thing is MCT oil as it feeds the brain. 1 Tbsp a day at first then 2 tbsp a day. There have been some amazing results with it. and there it is. One year of my life in a nutshell :)
When you say "helps with dementia"...do you mean slows or relieves symptoms? Or foods that are easier for someone with dementia to eat? Is your LO having issues with food or eating? If so, what's going on? Thx
