I lost my PCA certificate, and I call the place I received it. How do I get another one they said they no longer have it on file.

How do I receive another one????

JoAnn's idea is a great one. Check with former employers or anyone else you provided the certificate to. They may have a copy if they retained a file, or one online. Good luck.

In my State we call them CNAs and the State Nursing Board oversees them. They actually provide certification.

Maybe the last place you worked took a copy? According to what I just read, CNAs need to recertify every 2 years in my state. If you are required to do this in your State that would be who you would contact. I would think a Nursing facility or agency would have this info.

Are PCA's licensed in your stae? Have you tried searching for it online? Do you still have records from the classes you took?

When was the last time you needed this license for employmemt? Maybe it is time to update your skills and the certificate? Most certifications require some sort of continuing education to keep a certificate current and active.
