My mom is obsessed with the news and YouTube videos. Advice?

What do you mean by “obsessed” exactly. What kind of you tube videos is she watching. Need more info to give a more informed answer.

Not sure what you're looking for, but who doesn't have a relative that isn't annoying? When she's annoying you, find yourself a distraction. Sometimes a caregiver (is that what you are?) has to bite the bullet to maintain peace.

Get her hooked on the YouTube show "Foxes Afloat." It's lovely and will calm her down immensely. ;-)

Your profile says you are here to understand why your mom is so annoying. Who knows? I guess you find her watching the news & YouTube videos to be annoying but perhaps some things you do she finds annoying. If you live together, move out. If you can't move out, ignore what she does and do your own thing, that's my advice.

You don't give us any information about how old you or your mom are, and if you're in a caregiving role, so I will just say, why do you care what your mom watches? Is it hurting you in any way, and if so how? Does she monitor what you spend your time watching? I'm guessing probably not, so leave your mom be. She can watch whatever she darn well pleases.
