How do I find a place to stay? I'm a senior citizen who is slowly breaking down despite taking care of a lady who's had 3 strokes.
I'm in DESPERATE need of somewhere to live. Sleeping on the couch without room and I have been with the same person for over 4 years. I'm burnt out and I'm a senior citizen.. Don't know what and where to start at.
You previously posted on Oct 27, 2020. At that time info was requested and you didn't respond. I suggested you go to Social Services and call APS saying your client was a vulnerable adult that u could no longer care for. I also said I felt you were not entitled to unemployment because if taxes were not taken out and reported you are not entitled to unemployment. You have to pay into it to receive it.
Not sure how you are going to get paid for hours you weren't paid for. You should have had a contract and taxes deducted. If you report it to the labor board it may open a can of worms.
Like I said, start with your County Social Services.
I'm so sorry you are in this situation. AlvaDeer made wise suggestions. Also consider contacting any local church (you do not need to be a member), the Salvation Army, join Nextdoor.com for your neighborhood and put out an appeal (these people are not anonymous and are your actual neighbors so very likely to help) and social services through your county's Dept of Human Services. May you receive immediate and ample amounts of help and generosity!
