Darla, you can also check the California State Bar Directory to see if there's a bankruptcy (individual) subgroup. There are typically various groups, such as real estate, that form and sometimes have their own meetings. That kind of group could refer you to a list of CA bankruptcy attorneys in the San Diego area.

You can check it out, call attorneys with your list of questions to ask, especially costs, and at least get an idea of what/who's out there.\
Some of the listed attorneys might be corporate bankruptcy attorneys though, so that's something to check when you review their websites.
