Trouble walking

They need to be evaluated for 24/7 care if placing in a Longterm care facility, Nursing home or Skilled Nursing home. Whatever they are called where you live. Especially if you want Medicaid paying for it.

If placing in an Assisted Living paying privately, its just a matter of needing some type of assistance. The one Mom was in some of the residents still drove. These facilities are privately owned for profit. They do their own evaluation. In some States, Medicaid may pay for AL. In mine, you pay privately for at least two years and then u can apply for Medicaid.

Tell us more. What's the trouble? Fatigue, short of breathe, poorly balance, back, knees, eyesight? Falls?

Got it Polar! As in: "what constitutes a crisis severe enough to require placement in senior care?"

Thank you, the penny drops!

I think your question is supposed to read "What constitutes a critical senior to get put into senior care?" Right?
