My father need help for bed bugs. How do I find someone to take care of this?
I need help. Could you point me the right way for some kind of a group you know that can come here and spray this man's couch or something? Please I need help please
Dealt with this at momma's assisted living for 8 months and $7000.00 later. You have to call a professional exterminator. Bedbugs are very hard to get rid of. Also you have to wash all your clothes or put them into the hot dryer to get rid of the eggs. Wash sheets, blankets and everything. Get rid of your couch and you might have to buy a new mattress and boxspring. My siblings were bringing in bedbugs to my mommas assisted living and did not say a word that all of them at one time or now had bedbugs. They just let me clean it up and momma pay for it.
They are very hard to get rid of and will hide in vents and cracks . Your best bet is a professional exterminator but even better get rid of the couch . Diatomaceous Earth will help to a point but if you go to a doctor they will tell you to dump the couch and mattress .
The local County Health Department might get involved, but I don't know if they would charge for it. It is a health situation and probably could be considered an emergency, so perhaps they would. It's worth a call.
I also like ITRR's suggestion. I wasn't aware that diatomaceous earth could so successfully address this kind of problem.

Be sure and get corners and crevices. Leave it for a couple of days and vacuum up.
Be sure to wash everything in the house during this 2 days and dry on highest heat possible.
You and your partner can do this for less then 30.00 bucks and your time.
Or you can call local exterminators and tell them you have bed bugs.
