My aunt is 88 years old and has lived in a care facility for six years. She does not have dementia but she has always been mentally unstable. Nobody in the family will speak to her except for me. She is a hoarder and accuses everyone from stealing from her. And she sold her home six years ago and moved into this facility. She used all the money for her care. She told me she was being evicted August 20. She gets $1200 a month SSI. She said that it’s $200 more than what would qualify for senior care. We live in California. I don’t know how to help her.

I don't think she makes too much in Social Security to get Medicaid. Each State has different criteria. My Mom received $1700 a month and received Medicaid in NJ where the cap was a little more than 2300. But neither she nor you will need to worry about that if you allow the State to take over.
Please don't volunteer or be talked into caring for her. Caring for someone with mental problems is not fun. Do not become her POA either if you already are not one.
Then maybe call the Department of Aging in your area, explain the situation and see if they can help in any way.
I apologize and know it's not much & kind of generic answer, but it may give you a starting point.
Best of luck.
