How do you deal with Vocalizations?

My husband has started to respond to the tv negatively saying he/she is a jack***, here it comes or they are going to get slapped. He is better with animated shows but not commercials. I’m so sad we can’t watch our usual shows. Also, he had no downtime although I’m hoping to start daycare shortly. We listen to music all day and I use iPad and headset if I want to watch tv. His Keppra was recently lowered which hasn’t made a difference yet ( 5 days). He is quite docile usually so this is a big change in behavior. Have others noticed that these behaviors modulate? Someone suggested B3 which hadn’t made a difference as well.

Your profile says your husband is 70 years old and there's no info as to his medical issues. Is he diagnosed with dementia, memory impairment, or Parkinsons or something else? My 99-yr old aunt has mod/adv dementia and she can only watch a few cartoons but mostly dvds of very lighthearted musicals (with the captions on, which she reads). She cannot watch any news or drama because she internalizes it and it causes waking delusions of danger and creates anxiety in her.

During the day we ask her to help us with "tasks", which is folding a large pile or kitchen towels, sorting plastic utensils, sorting and pairing color socks and sorting poker chips. This burns mental and physical energy so that she sleeps better at night.

Also, whenever you wish to add supplements to his regimen you must first discuss it with his doctor because everything has the potential to interact with any other meds, even vitamins -- they are still processed as chemicals in one's body. B3 probably didn't work because he didn't have a deficiency. Also the medical lab can test for this if you ask your doctor.
