How do I get meds for my mom who is in bed and has had many UTI s?

I'm sure she has one now.

Telemedicine appointment to get the current one handled, then work to prevent future ones by giving her some diluted cranberry juice with every meal plus additional water.

The problem I see is a culture needs to be taken to determine what kind of bacteria is cause the problem. A broad spectrum antibiotic can be prescribed but they don't always work. Call her doctor and see what he can do. Maybe he can send out one of his Nurses or a Nurse practitioner.

You can try Geaton's idea to help prevent anymore. My Mom was put on cranberry tablets and a probiotic to help hers. While Mom is on antibiotics she should take a probiotic to keep from getting a yeast infection.

A diagnosed UTI is treated with antibiotics. If it is confirmed she has one, and then can get treatment, then once she is off the antibiotics I recommend starting her on a supplement called D-Mannose, which was brought to my attention on this forum as a preventative (but not 100%) for UTIs. It worked extremely well for my MIL, as well as her getting enough fluids and having proper hygiene. Elderly women tend to get a lot of UTIs and it has more to do with changes in physiology than in diet and/or hygiene. D-Mannose is a simple sugar that helps the bladder void its contents (if I'm understanding it correctly). You can't give someone "too much" as they will just pee it out of their system. I purchased it on Amazon. FYI I'm NOT a proponent of supplements for reasons I won't go into here, but I have found that this supplement has worked for my MIL, it was affordable, and posed no danger since there is no real "dosage" recommendations to follow. Also there is a clinical study that showed it had promise for preventing UTIs.

there are test strips that you can buy that can test for a UTI. If it is positive contact the doctors office and ask for a prescription.
If the doctor refuses because they have not seen her there are doctors that make house calls.
If mom were on Hospice they would have a prescription delivered usually the same day.
